* Fantastic colors (1956)!

Last night, Part 2 - More violence than in Part 1; Moses through the power of good (God) really did it this time around! ...By unleashing all hell, and destroying the people's dictatorship (Ramses & gang) who were refusing freedom to all men, women and children (bondage). ...And also by killing all the people who were drinking, dancing, partying, and worshiping a god made of gold and representing an animal! ...Good looking young women too! 😱

_________

Charlton Heston (Moses), in later years, in real life, became one of the most prominent spokespersons for the NRA of America.

If you like your movies raw and in your face, with fantastic acting and lots of flamboyant colors and decors, great special effects (the separation of the sea and all that jazz), music score to die for, and up to date, you might want to skip that one. :film:

Just watched "Hot Cars" from 1956. A nice little B movie set in L.A. Cool cars, hot dames - a roller-coaster ending. Only about 1 hour long, but a nice picture of L.A. in the 50s. Music by Les Baxter, which is a plus.

Slightly OT, but some of the skits by Martin and Lewis stick firmly in the memory bank as some of the best comedic moments I've seen - a simple sequence like the sandwich building on the bench routine by Mr Bean is priceless humour, for me ...

A cinematic Masterpiece! ...In French too. ...Directed by Jean-Pierre Jeunet. ...And starring Audrey Tautou. ... And in a smaller role but still; Marion Cotillard.

If you love real cinema art and compositions from both the onscreen moving pictures, decors, locales, actor's interactions, and sublime poetry to the extreme unlimited infinity of the art (text, vocal delivery, inclinations, expressions, ...), and touching the full gamut, spectrum of emotional wisdom from the harshness of war to the ecstasy of love; then you are doomed for a real sweet treat. ...Even the music score is magic and it's wonderful!

What are you waiting for? 🙂

Last night I re-watched this flick, which I like very much so (directed by Luc Besson - 1999) :: In French ::
