Some genuine stuff
Been drinking a reasonable amount of Stolichnaya with a Russian gran and family I'm currently visiting in The Netherlands over the last 3 weeks. Wonderful stuff when had with caviar and black bread. 😎Actually, I’d consider the Russian Standard more than acceptable at even room temp with a couple of large ice cubes and about 3 drops of water so as to dilute too much, but my favorite bang for buck vodka would have to be the Luksoswa. Sure, it’s Polish, and from potatoes rather than grains, but then that qualifies it for a gluten-free diet.
The presents are all wrapped.
The food for Xmas day is prepared.
So I'm having a glass of 30yr old port. Excellent!!!!!
Merry Christmas to all.

I've never had Cognac before and decided to give this little bottle a try. Very nice to sip with a cube or two of ice. I'm now hooked! This is good stuff! I look forward to trying some others within my budget soon.

Prosecco / OJ mimosas for breaky - Paleo breakfast casserole - chased with drip brewed black coffee. Tonight at sister Julie’s will likely be far less restrained.
Our resident mixologist would dispute that first point, and it was one of those flavour infused vodkas - some of which are beyond tasteless. I think Pinnacle literally takes the cake there.
Errata on post a few days back the Polish potato vodka should be spelled Luksusowa - but of course the experts already knew that

Had this with birthday dinner last night - not normally a fan of the bubblies, but it was quite nice
I guess you drained the bottle then?😉
Just finished a cup of Discovery Coffee's Christmas Blend.

Since getting wed to a Russian lady nearly 20 years ago, I have become completely converted to really iced quality vodka in shots. With mineral water chaser.
But only with "food" - red caviar or home preserved salmon (sugar/salt) and home pickled cucumbers (but not vinagery - herby). And black rye and caraway bread.
When traveling I will compromise with a really hot bloody mary. Best I had was in Texas. Not sure why.
