Ways of hiding subwoofer in a table : ideas needed.

I built this table in 1998. I used spare 2 x 4's from the house being built across the street. It's got a 2 x 12 BP4 enclosure bolted underneath it. I originally built the enclosure with four 12's in BR form for my brother's Ford Escort. The table is in its 3rd house. It's part of my chill spot 5.1 system. The 12's are being powered by the right 2 x 100 watt Technics receiver in the TV stand.

So a box under a “conventional” table.
Gotcha.

Yup. Got plenty of power.
What stop me from using um18:
1- driver price if going for 2 drivers, which is recommanded in order to keep vibration low.
2- limited by the table size. 18’s doesn’t quite fit into both end pannel of the table.
1- Yes would cost more but not a whole lot more... but a whole lot more output given the same input, if the enclosure is independent of the table does the vibration matter?(if you make them separate enclosures you could have some placement adjustment by facing them in different orientations)
2- I was going by the size quoted 20x20, thats enough for a 18 yes the outer frame dia will overlay the box side thickness by a little... car audio guys do that all the time 🙂

I'll add an extra one
3- One day your room may change making the enclosure(s) independent will allow future changes... and the coffee table can go elsewhere without weighing 500Lb's

Hi! thanks for replying.
Yes, its 20in overall, but probably forgot to mention that my better half wants leg on the table and not going straight to the floor I guess ?! in order to do so, i will put tiny little 3in custom legs to fit the rest of the open concept. which bring the box to a max of 17 inch.

I thought about #3. But if room change, or we move or anything, ill sell the drivers or the table i guess and make a / some new subwoofer.

the way my fusion 360 file is at the moment, is 16in high for the table. the Um15 barely fits
