Hi Blues, 😀😀😀

I am a bit ashamed......🙁:t_ache:

Today I changed from my quick and dirty AC supply to battery.......:devily:

All, all the problems I described are gone!!!!!!!!!!:note::note::note::note:

Tabla plays in the normal way, the sound is darker and no more distant, simply wonderful, near to perfect......

I suppose the Rectified AC was to bad or small....... What current is flowing?

For all others before you write, try the batteries,
.......do not make the same fault like me......

Happy generg

Warpspeed

I'm very happy with my Warpspeed battery powered.
I'm loving my system, best sounding ever. 😀
Mac Mini > DIY Wolson DAC > Warpspeed > Dodd In-line buffer > Class D amp > Dunlavy SCIV
Battery power for all.
😀😀😀😀😀😀

You can't just give up, Trung...not at 2am, too early!😀

I told you, you will be rediscovering/discovering musical galaxies -I wasn't kidding. I'll take the blame though.

Ahemm...gotta inform the forum, Mr. Tran likes it so much he got himself a 2nd and a 3rd W'speed!

:warped:

Hi Blues!

Received the kit yesterday and put it together this morning. Soldered the legs directly on the RCAs. The control is now up and running, and sounds very nice: the music is flowing effortlessly forth with that open and smooth character I was used to with my Lightspeed copy. I'm using a regulated PS, but will eventually try battery supply!

Many thanks and best!
Johan 🙂

Is this the place for a newb question about these warpspeeds? I might be interested in being #26, I am just trying to figure out where to integrate it. Unlike Trung, I have a full blown Battery Powered Dodd Buffer. Would I turn the volume all the way up on that and run the RCAs fro the Dodd to the warpspeed, then the warspeed to the Class D amp?

Thanks for your interest...

Trung or even Gary Dodd might be more qualified to answer your question. I believe Trung has an inline Dodd buffer which is a version without volume pot and source selection. Trung and Gary are neighbors and I think Trung has shown his build to him and has listened to it.

If you build a box for the Warpspeed you can certainly do as you proposed only I'd try it as a stand-alone first without the Dodd or in front of it.
