Some newer tips are missing on it according my experience with this board, but at least I like a lot how it looks : the good smell of tweaking 🙂

A good old Philips CD304 heavy tweaked ,with S2 Chip in it ,is still my Favorite. Only bought the Pedja to check out with USB .
Yep I liked this cd player, I tweaked 3 of them iirc ! Well, the AYA II 2014 is above : thanks to the uf-l plugs you can putt the best diy digital front-ends : IanCanada, SD Trans, etc...
But for sure I like also the old Philips Mechanics, I have them all ina box as I collapsed a lot of CD player youngers to learn... they were costing Nothing : 10 or 20 euros... I till have a tDA1540 somewhere player from Marantz : cd45 iirc

yes Eldam, not sure if CD880 is proper platform but it should be interesting comparing the 3 chips; TDA1541A, S1 and S2 🙂
My conclusion is the Taiwan and the S1 don't ask the same setup around... Never heard a S2 though... but if a S2 is a super Taiwan98, I may prefer the S1. At least I prefer actually the S1 over the simple Taiwan98... on my Platform.
Hoping to get my hands on a good TDA1541A chip. Anyone other than ecdesigns have the late production Taiwan chips? I sent him a PM because I didn't see them listed on his website. Obviously interested in S1/S2 as well, but those tend to be priced crazily.
