I stumbled upon a pair of new B200s recently , but I'm not sure what to do with them......?
BIB's will be HUGE, and I just don't know for sure about OBs...maybe, maybe not....My old speakers are a quite good set of regular BRs, so that's not really an option either........the highish Qt isn't exactly favourable....
Any ideas about design compromises? Any other suggestions? Anyone??? 😕

Hi AuroraB,
I'm working with Visaton B200 and this open-baffle since two weeks. It is very, very instructive. You easily made many tries and understand how a speaker (really) works. Curves and math formula are not so instructive.
You can start with this easy and low cost open-baffle. (Some pictures found on the net, I don't remember where, sorry!)...I just don't know for sure about OBs...

those look about 24" wide. that about right?
Hi Eric
The driver on the pictures doesn't look like a B200 to me - it is rather looking like a coax. Am I right ? And if yes - what driver is it ?

Hello,
i made a lot of positiv experience with the B200
for classic listener an superb driver.
I made a few satellite horns down to 100 Hz with 96-98 dB 1W1m
look my TRUMPET, HORN, SCHALMEI
a good sub is needed.
Or in my double horns with a second invers driver look my
SAXOPHON and the RDH20.
Most with feedback and measurements.

Hi hm,
Many thanks
Nice realizations. Have you got more details (cabinet schematic) about the second picture. It is difficult to understand what is it....I made a lot of positive experience with the B200

Many thanks
Joe Rasmussen has introed a new speaker "SOFF" using B200 in an enclosure designed for current drive.
New "The SOFF Loudspeaker" public demonstration ASoN 29th August...
The Linear Current Loudspeaker
Given the HF extension of the B200 -- at least with phase plugs -- one could live without the waveguide tweeter.
