VFET Chassis limited production run

Yes of course this is always available since this chassis is a standard product https://modushop.biz/site/index.php?route=product/category&path=324
What about this one?

Think two of these are necessary.......for mono block use. Also, standard product?

Sorry for disturbing the VFET chassis thread!

Ok, thank you so I just had to go one step deeper and I can customize with either 2 or 4 heat sinks.
Maybe a picture of both 2 and 4 heat sink versions at "top-level" and 2. level below would be good?
Only 3rd and last level revels all the "good stuff" 🙂

I can see all the pictures when I just click all the way into the selection of 2 or 4 heat sinks.
It was just for your web it could be nice to also view the 4 heatsink version at "top-level".
I left the page again using your first link you provided as I did only see the 2-heat sink version as I thought it was the only option.

I was the fortunate winner of the Sony VFET essentials kit auctioned yesterday at BAF22. So, naturally, I immediately contacted Gianluca of Modushop to beg for a chassis - like the gorgeous limited run done for the lottery. Gianluca amazed me by replying at what must have been the closing time of the bar opposite Burning Amp - in the wee, small hours…

Gianluca, who I hope will see this and confirm the following, said he would be prepared to do a small production run for a minimum of ten chassis. He suggested we start a thread and that is what this is - a list of interested parties prepared to commit to buying one or more VFET chassis from Gianluca. I am not offering to head up a Group Buy but simply hoping we can get to ten or more chassis orders here and then contact Gianluca with orders.

Hope that sums it up to date....

Thank you for the recap. I think the time to wrap this up has finally arrived!

I've now made it possible to purchase the VFET chassis again, you can find it by clicking on the link in the first post or in the one above mine.

Please make sure you write in the notes your DiyAudio nickname so I know who has purchased the chassis

Estimated Delivery Time: before the end of November

Thanks, Gianluca. Have placed the order for the first of my three. It’s for a friend and going to his forwarder in Miami.

I’d like to ask your advice, Gianluca, and the advice of any Canadians on the thread with regard to the two other chassis. I have family in Canada coming to Barbados at Christmas and am going to ship my two chassis to them in Ontario.

Is it better to ship each of the two chassis separately - in terms of any possibility of coming in under a customs duty ceiling, or do I ship the two together at an obviously higher total cost on one invoice? The shipping charge difference between either option is €6.

Yes, yes.......listening!
I am looking at the speciel Mono block chassis with heat sinks on both sides! ......only way to dissipate the nearly 200W to use both sides for one channel.
But before I order I have to ask Gianluca to cut 4 x 10mm alu plates so I can connect the two heat sinks on both sides thermically as there is only one Mosfet or SIT pr. side. Hope this is possible?
You are very lucky with the VFET chassis that heat sinks are ONE piece only!!!

Are you sure the SITs can’t work on the VFET chassis? Seem to recall a post by ZM indicating you would be fine if you used a 60V power supply on the Tokins - or is my memory getting like ZM’s….

Yes, close to 100W pr. heat sink in VFET chassis was a bit too much. It was the only reason I passed and looked at the standard mono blocks Modushops makes. They also have the nice baseplate with holes for mounting components. The only problem is the 2 heat sinks pr. side when you only have one transistor pr. side to dissipate a lot of heat and you need the cooling capacity of both sinks.
