Rabbitz,
I've seen this tweeter and it looks interesting, especially at that price. I would get 90 db 1w at listening position, so max SPL about 110. I'd only need 102 so this gives me 8 db headroom.
Looking further, it has a lot of top end rolloff, sharp edges and early low end rolloff. The Morel MDT 37 looks like a better candidate, but at twice the cost. Not as efficient, but flatter and will deal with a lower xo point. It has 94 db sens and 200w power handling, hence I could get 107 db out of it, with 5db of that as headroom.
I just hope that the SPL readings I've been getting are accurate!!! ... hmmm really need to compare to an SPL meter sometime.

If you can make a flared port maybe yo can make a trial horn for a tweeter to trial. Could help with time alignment as well.

Tried that one before! ... not very good results! 🙁
It sounded worse on either of my two versions, and did not appear (subjectively at least) to increase efficiency
I thought it might help with time alignment, but a horn moves the acoustic centre forward apparently!

Its not as bad as you think ... with a hammer and hole punch I get about one dimple per second 😉 .... working like this >>>
in a hurry I'm almost as quick as that lil yellow guy!
