This thread got mentioned in the more recently revived "EI Yugoslavia gone forever" thread.

Looks like the tube factory made 9 pin and octal tubes from the write-up. Although the tubes shown in the pictures look more like the bigger Compactrons. Sure would be nice to run off 5000 6LX6s!

Looking at the PDF I still can't figure something out. How did they seal the stems from below after evacuation with the pins in the way?

These are equivalents to the 6LF6's that Julius Futterman used in his OTL amps, right? Are there any plate curves available for them?

Pity that Compactron sockets aren't common, thus hard to find, here in Europe. I like the short, but fat approach of tubes, such as Duodecar ones and like the European EL503, which has become very scarce and expensive these days.
