Thanks
Just looked if Mouser has some BUZ80 and they directed me to this one :

Works as you show on sketch for resistors and IRF840. Thanks this tread is best, Sharing knowledge is what in what I believe. 10xPlain irf840 will do
Hello @v4lve lover , can you please provide some guidance on the selection of R3 values?
I assume it is selected base on load current, but if you can provide an approximate gauge and range, i would really appreciate your help.
@v4lve lover ,Ive nearly finished my last batch of 6.3VAC to 6.3VDC supplies. Therefore I am posting the gerbers for these very convenient PSU modules.
Sorry for the Use of MELF resistors, but there was no other way of building these as compact as they are.
Be aware that the main filter capacitors are 22.5mm snap-in types, not 25mm. And these are quite hard to source. Mouser-nr. 871-B41231A3159M000
Fet: 512-RFP12N10L
Controller: 998-MIC5156YN
Cooler is a SK129-38 available from TME or Reichelt.
I will still build these upon request and a minimum of 4PC.
Thanks for the design and gerbers. Although you have mentioned that they can do 2.5A, I have only tested them on 1.5A load due to capacity of my transformer. And i think 1.5A verified is more than sufficient for most applications and the heatsink is within comfortable temperature. They work very stable and nice. Thanks again.
I think they will be good up to 3A the diodes being the limiting factor.
Question regarding your trimmers. Do you have series numbers/manufactures for those trimmers with extended knobs? They would be very helpful for my application!@v4lve lover ,

Indeed. Thanks v4lve lover! I have tested them to 2.4A (2*6W6 heaters)
I've been running 4 6SN7s in my Aikido preamp for over 6 months now with no problem.
Hi I bought it from Alixpress. Bought quite a few times for my various projects, they are of good quality and reliability, as per what a handful of buyers have mentioned :Question regarding your trimmers. Regarding the 6.3VAC to 6.3VDC regulator boards as shown in post 167 above:
What is the intention for the 6V aux output? Looks like I could build the boards without these extra parts if I don't need it. Just wondering.
Thanks,
John

I'm not sure what you mean. There's 6VAC input on one end, and 6VDC output on the other, that's all.
If I'm looking at the correct schematic, there is also a 6V aux, as it is labelled. It includes a small DIP size bridge rectifier and the filter components. At the top of schematic is the aux circuit.

edit: is it just for the LED?
