Using three tweeters a ok idea?

If he is going to use THREE Tweeters, then I have to ask - Why Three? Why not Two; why not four?

Five is right out!

Five handle enough power for PA, and the curvature limits interference to the vertical plane (inside the focal point).

Community had a model with a similar stack of four tweeters.

Hi DJK, I should still have a pile of KSN1016 which came with metal mounting frames and oddly, a parallel capacitor - what would have been the use of that cap? - IIRC the cap was similar in value to the self capacitance of the piezo element. One KSN1016 did 103dB/1M/2.83v on your transformer scheme with just a 1uF cap highpass - probably would be a bit more with a 2nd /3rd order highpass. That array might work on top of my RCA-Fan midbass with Gollehon midrange - if I ever feel well enough to get back to it.

Aurelia cerica uses 3 tweeters in a Waveguide. Works like magic imo.

Been thinking of playing around with some cheap drivers like BC25SC-55/04 Vifa 1″ tweeter | Loudspeaker freaks

Truth is i havent bothered as one tweeter can work that magic too.

Remembered reading on tweeter arrays with one driver in reverse phase. Took me a while to find the papers. It called Bessel array.

playing around with my 4 x tg9 3.25" full range driver array............

I think 3 tweeters (all run same signal) can work, if your ears stay exactly between the top and bottom tweeter.
