Up to what your bridge diodes can safely handle. 1A with MUR120.
maybe they would be good for regulated aleph mini amplifiers 20V rails.
I have not seen any message from you RichLund,
but the correct thread is here.

also my signature has a sign up sheet below to get in on it.
Old hyno should arrive next week. New one's still in the burner.

I build UGS v3 preamp using this http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/attachments/pass-labs/70381d1158327339-ugs-adventures-ugsalim1.gif power supply board
would you please advise If using Hypnotise board will get better sound
would you advise also what reference voltage element will be best to use - leds, zener Incl specific type, resistor

Its about CCS fed shunt reg VS series reg, your mileage may vary but there is a strong chance they will be having a different signature. You must check it out yourself subjectively.
thank you
and your preferred voltage reference component giving 24V for Hypnotise CCS fed shunt reg

Only LEDS if you can fit a mini sub board since they will be many, else the 2 LEDS + appropriate resistor as described in this thread's post #1.
Do the builddirections in post#1 also apply for the Blue Hypnotize pcb's, or did something change ?
Best regards, Erik.

Hello Salas,
Yes ! The Hypno perform really well. Far more image/slam/refined sound then the TP placid (my 2cents). Those caps are indeed Dtacs, they are my favourite, but not so easy to mount. The picture is how I got the DTACS in my Dynaudio contour 1.8mk2, I felt like a surgeon doing that.🙂

If they aren't obstructing the backwave its OK. Are they far back enough from the midbass driver?
No obstruction and about 10 cm room. Both identical bassdrivers are connected in parallel so they are both doing the same.
Its crossed like a 2 way then, not like 2&1/2. 4 Ohm Dynas are current hungry, usually in the mid 80s dB/1m. They would appreciate a 150-250W power range amp. A Hypex would be the easiest choice. What do you use?
I have a AKSA100 & I don't trust my girlfriend with my stuff, so I have everything in my studyroom which is only 3mx4m. I even got enough volume to use a passive pre.
In such a small room should be more than enough. Its the inverse square acoustics spl loss law that creates demands fast in bigger rooms. Fine then, enjoy.
