Using the GRS PT5010 (Neo10 clone) as a dipole midrange

I have a pair of the PT5010 that I am keeping for a project that takes some inspiration from the LXmini. It will use the PT5010 mid and PT2522 tweeter above an up-firing small driver. The radiation pattern will be omni at LF and then transition to dipole around 600Hz or so. I might even borrow the "tube" idea from the LXmini, since it is a good one, but will use a different driver. The result will be a narrow and tall speaker with a small footprint. I have always wanted to try that, but it's just down on my list at the moment because I am working on other projects right now.

Sorry to revive an old thread (there's not much else out there on this planar), and also sorry if this was covered and I missed it, but, why not use this driver as a tweeter also?

Further, I only listen at 75db, with some parametric EQ settings to dull the peaks down to 80db @ 1w, wouldn't this lower the bottom end?

I was thinking about putting an array of four of these naked directly in front of a GR-Research Triplethreat servo sub with a crossover at 120-200hz, my crossover software computer can delay the planars to time align the two, and presto, 20-20k two way...
