Politicians and military personnel are humans too, so they have the same foibles as the rest of us (except the ones that are aliens 😱 )

I would expect sightings to be down, considering that the average person in a location with a high population density is typically looking down at their mobile device at any free moment.
Here is a good read.

do you have any research to back up your hypothesisI would expect sightings to be down, considering that the average person in a location with a high population density is typically looking down at their mobile device at any free moment.
the average person ... is typically looking down at their mobile device at any free moment.
And that will be their downfall!

My hypothesis that people are distracted by their phones? I would guess that distracted driving data would be a good indicator of this behavior.do you have any research to back up your hypothesis
I meant down in general, as in compared to ten years ago. I have actually never heard claims about UFO sightings spiking so the article is nonsense to me.Wow, a new phenomenon!
I remember a theory about some alien sattelite that was supposedly found. I think they named it Black Knight or something similar. That seems like one of the more plausible stories.
Yes, well that's the phenomenon I was referring to. 😊I meant down in general, as in compared to ten years ago. I have actually never heard claims about UFO sightings spiking so the article is nonsense to me.
No, i'm not kidding and your wiki link is completely rubbish! Btw UFO sighting & supernatural phenomena isn't the same thing. Our airforce never faced such thing, at least there is nothing in public domain. There is absolutely alleged supernatural phenomena in India are you kidding me

I grew up here in india and in my entire life never heard about such thing, i mean UFO and Aliens(Only in Hollywood...he he..). We are more concern about cross border terrorism, social and economical issues. But it seems that pentagon is quite serious about such thing & as far as i know recently they declassified many government reports on UFO.Really? In my own country we had multiple sightings (one with radar echo), had been exposed to the 'vague Belge' too ( early 90's)... We have an organisation who study this things seriously ( Gepan), some high grade military had open letters to ask for serious research about it... Overall all European country had their share of Ufo.
It is the same in South America.
Afrika had their strange case too, Asia,...
It's global. Whatever is the cause of it.
But i want to mention about something which is true! Even PLA(Chinese army) believes in such thing.

During the 1965 war(in 1971 too), Pakistan lobbed 3,000 bombs over the border and soldiers, villagers took cover in the temple. Not one of the bombs exploded!

Yeah okay India has it all figured out. They should tell the world. No, i'm not kidding and your wiki link is completely rubbish! Btw UFO sighting & supernatural phenomena isn't the same thing. Our airforce never faced such thing, at least there is nothing in public domain.
Conflating ET and UFOs has always seemed strange to me. An extra terrestrial is a very striking concept for a creature, it is imbued with meaning. UFOs on the other hand, they just strike me as a poorly understood prosaic phenomenon. Or perhaps something much more complex that will require a better understanding of our planet, maybe something playing with our perceptions. The ET stuff just seems a hangup most have when talking about UFOs because they’ve been tricked into making the association. Even more confusing when they’re used interchangeably; when people say “aliens” I think of a group of extraterrestrials, not a silver saucer in the sky.
Not a ufo but an interesting flying object...
