Unknown & Interesting to watch ...

The older RCF drivers that made it across East German lines in the 80s weren't half bad. I used to buy a version of their 6.5" from Conrad Electronics in Munich when I was a teen. They worked well in a 30 ltr vented box with a larger tweeter and had decent xmax.
An anecdote about the tweeters: They are known in insider circles as ‘The Dead Eyes of Leipzig’, a reference to a villain in a 1961 german crime film titled ‘The Dead Eyes of London’.
