Do the pretty pitures somehow indicate "goodness"? I bet a $2 pot has less distortion and noise. In what way was the multiplying dac better? Distortion?
Those pictures are very close to perceived quality, verified by tests, believe me.. $2 pot is much worse in channel tracking, crosstalk (and wit usual values as 10-50kohm also in noise).Distortion is dependent on active devices, similar for both solutions.Multiplaying DAC was better in distortion at high levels (above3-5V RMS) an frequencies around 20kHz. IMD 19+20 was better, too.

PASSIVE ATTENUATOR is bad in ultra-low level condition, balance for L&R,noise sensitve etc

the passive potentiometer even can be configurate a LOW-PASS FILTER with the Capacitor in the output

I just got the AP measurement from my friend

the module reaches a ultra-high performance in ultra-low level conditions

FFT @ -80dBV 1KHz
we can see the noise floor is below 1uV with balance output
