as simple (and great sounding) as you can get!
is my take on the JE Labs OB. I love em...but my wife doesn't (they can easily dominate a smallish room)....
Oxford J10 full-rangers, Seas tweeter mounted co-axially, salvage 2nd order Xover, a coat hanger and 1 sheet of plywood. Works well with T-amps, tubes, good solid state (Yamaha B-2, McCormack DNA 0.5deLuxe).
Should have taken JE's advice and put the finish on them before installing the drivers.....almost 3 years later and still no finish!

I built a pair of these...
In fact here is a pair...
Disregard the black mount on the right.

T=Mundorf? AMT

Darrel... those are both original and amazing.... 😎
This is my latest iteration. Have not touched it for a while so it must be 'correct' 😀

Hey Gainphile,
That is both a generous as well as kind response.... Thank you!
Cheers,
Darrel 🙂
Mine are not nearly so professional looking as most of those just posted ...
Silver Iris (Performance Grade) in cloth covered upholstered open baffles ...
Perhaps not so professional looking ... but they sure sound professional!!😀

Alf, how did you get those Hawthornes to Australia? If shipped, how expensive was it to send it? Must be very heavy ...
Hey Gainphile,
We ship the Silver Iris line of drivers all over the world, 34 countries so far and counting.
We use the U.S. Postal Service or any of the other carries services. (USPS being the least expensive.)IIRC it was about 139.00 USD to send Alf his pair of 15" coaxials.
Cheers,
Darrel 🙂
