Would it be possible to setup for people to put down a $50 (or $20) deposit?
That way we know for sure they plan to proceed. It can often take over a week for people to reconfirm they still intend on purchasing.

If I can get my hands on one of the upcoming VFET projects, then I will order a second 4U x 500mm chassis. The first is slated for a SIT-3X build, or possibly as an alternate for my Singing Bush boards.

That's correct, the VFET is going to have its own chassis

Is it too much of a 'hint' to know the chassis specs for the VFET amp specifically re: heatsink sizes / overall size? Tungsten Audio and I are in a similar situation. I was going to get two of these, but I was waiting for more information on the VFET.

It's going to have a smaller width than the regular Dissipante and it's going to be 4U but not 500mm deep. We are still ironing out some details which I hope will be revealed soon

That's true but this chassis will also be completely compatible with the vfet amp build as discussed earlier with Papa. So if people are on a tight budget and want an amp chassis that can do any amp build this would be the chassis to get. However I bet the Vfet chassis will look totally cool and probably unique, so if money is not an issue I can imagine people wanting both this chassis and the vfet chassis.

I think Tungsten Audio is just saying in order to make sure this actually goes ahead he will be willing to buy a second one for his vfet project.

It would be bloody depressing if we got to 22 and couldn't proceed because we fell short of 25, so I appreciate Tungsten Audio's support.

Now at 28, so it is seeming more likely we probably really do have 25.
