UK's Void Audio Rog Mogale

Was looking at Void Audio page and just found out that Rog Mogale is one of the founders and technical directors of VOID

his plans for scoops around 2002 are on the freespekaeplans forum among others

besides the scoops there are other designs from Rog , most of them are for the PD1850, altough for todays standards i think it is outdated

as a side note , on 2024 or 2025 the danley horn patent will expire so the whitepapers will be de-classified. 🙂

The Mogale scoops are indeed outdated, many newer designs are out there, but not many are public as some found a bussiness building them for reggae (and other) soundsystems. The highest rated now are the Stakx scoops and the (actual version of the) QSS scoops, both using modern B&C drivers. Both can only be ordered build from the companies themselves and no free plans are arround from them.

Rob Mogale made those scoops when he was not in the bussiness yet (before 2000, but only published then), and later was cofounder of VOID (and so did not update his free designs anymore).

Some shots of a Void PA.

Wow!! The subs have round circle vents only....not those KS28 lip like flared ports

Or bassboss diamond shape vents in the middle.

Love the red line on the linear top arrays

I guess I that will sound MONSTEROUSSSS!!!

It did??? 😍😍

A B&C 18ds115 in a 3 fold 200liter TL ? Shuffle these around and make the last segment 600 cm2 or so if you really wanna ‘push it hard’

I survived the Glastonbury Experience - And had good time!
Got to hear this rig for a good couple of hours - Its one of the small stages scattered around the site with an nominal audience capacity of 5000 up scalable to 7000 with a coulple of delay line arrays if needed.
The subs were used in a horizontal delay to provide a controlled dispersion and as noted only have 6 small ports each.

Sound was very dynamic and clear but not the deepest.
(The Medal for deepest bass would be awarded to the Temple Stage with its 22 X Danley TH118 system in my opinion!)

But as ever at a festival this only being one of many stages would have been subject to a certain amount of noise restriction.
Within its audience area the Volume was more than adequate without too much overspill.
