I believe my Amnesis QUAD with ALLBJT input project amplifier belongs here. 😀
Cheers,

I like it. The ugliness of the left channel is matching the ugliness of the right one. Perfect!
The most "ugly" amp i got. Build with parts at hand, just as a sub amp untill i get to build a nicer one.
definitely not ugly enough! 🙂
That's ugly.

Thanks Shoog and Adason. I feel flattered. 😀
The symmetry was totally unintended, BTW. 😱
Cheers everybody and hang on there; we are close. 😉

Agreed. The ugliness is not there...very disappointing in that important department. 😀
I wonder if some people just are born with this gift while others have to struggle to mimic it.

I just can't get me to build someting that looks home made. I know i can do a lot better. So i do just that. And it would be placed in a rack in the livingroom. And i do have a better half that also have to live with it😀
Do my amplifiers (main amplifier and preamplifier) qualify? Both were good enough for a publication in Electronics World, but I didn't dare to send them any photos.
It's a pity I didn't take any photos of my high-voltage amplifier. It was simply a wooden drawer with large perfboards in it.
You published the circuit for that?
😀
The main amplifier was published in Electronics World February 1996, the phono amplifier section of the pre-amplifier in Electronics World October 2003 and the high-voltage amplifier only online on Frank Verwaal's webpage about electrostatic loudspeakers.
I believe my Amnesis QUAD with ALLBJT input project amplifier belongs here. 😀

Oh yes it most certainly does! 😀

I couldn't be happier! 😀

PS: I still Love your Avatar's picture.
the electric jungle😛I believe my Amnesis QUAD with ALLBJT input project amplifier belongs here. 😀

the only real problem with a build like that is that one day you will have to go in to sort out a problem and then you just wont have a clue what you did in the first place. Been there and done that and now I aspire to a bit more order in my builds.

Thanks for your concern, but this was/is a prototype/experimental version, with the copper side UP. Strangely, when developing those kind of circuits, one tend to remember all the intricacies and the evolution of the adventure...maybe the stress... 😀
Dear Discopete,
I am sorry to say that your amp is beautiful. 🙁
Cheers,
