When you say "call ‘em", did you mean claim 'em? Also, when you say "stories", did you mean claims?

If a flying or floating thing is called flying object or craft, is there something wrong with that?

Fact is, there are as many where people were convicted on circumstantial evidence. So, if some convictions are made using leading edge technology and some on circumstantial evidence, the system is not as a whole held to the same standards as scientific evidence is it?

My initial interest in the tic tac video had much less to do with its actual content than the reasons why it was released. The video is being presented by the military (and therefore the government) for the public’s consideration. To put it mildly, this is a big deal. Reality is manufactured to a large degree these days. With that in mind, why put out a low quality video for the public’s consideration rather than the better quality videos that allegedly exist, and why do it now?

This video release was not accidental. It could have and would have been suppressed if it had been released by accident. Instead it’s in the news and being discussed by many people, including the people in this thread. We are obviously not coming to any conclusions, because there is insufficient evidence to come to a conclusion. We just talk in circles for this reason.

We got poor quality “evidence” for a reason. There are gatekeepers to the evidence. Imagine what would have happened if a high resolution video showing a couple of aliens in a tic tac waving hello out the window was released instead of the poor quality footage that we got. What would happen if this clear cut, undeniable evidence was presented to the world? Chaos is what would happen. It would be irresponsible to have that sort of information come out in that way. So we get an out of focus tic tac and a few months to mull it over and get used to it. Evidence and data are not released in a vacuum. There is both context and intent when the military releases information. National security concerns would be important. There are many good reasons to suppress information, along with many bad reasons. Looking for evidence as though it should just be there out in the open is not realistic given the context. This should be obvious to anyone that gives it some thought.

So, why, and why now? That’s what we should be asking rather than arguing about the existence of UFOs. Remember, we are discussing the quality of the evidence that was presented to us by the gatekeepers of that evidence. The gatekeepers have an agenda and are active participants in the creation of what we perceive as reality. There may or may not be other higher quality and more clear evidence available, but we are only going to get it if the gatekeepers choose to give it to us. I believe that there will be more evidence coming in the coming months. I’d happily put money on it.

Not sure if Mars is the place to find existence of other life forms. Just because it's not on Mars, does not mean it does not exist.

But that's not the same as saying "higher than those set in any legal system".

BTW, what's making your post to show different quote formats?
