Type 85 Tube E80L Triode Strapped Zen Inspired Amplifier Build

Looks like the video misinformed you. common cathode resistor disbalances even more, since the tube with higher gm pulling more current decreases other tubes' current even more increasing negative bias voltage. It is done sometimes to make stereo base wider, without shunting cap.
Nice amp exterior though.

Yeah, we've gone over that subject. when I get my new switch in the mail I'll try it both ways. The thing is, this isn't my first amp and I got to say that it sounds fantastic. The way I have it wired, it will be easy to change. It's a learning process.

I have a serious question. I was looking at the E80L datasheet and had an idea. Do you guys think I could get away with making this change to the E80L operating point to get more power out of this amplifier? What got me thinking was the EL34 datasheet triode chart versus the web VTADIY chart. Data sheet goes up to -35 volts but the VTADIY chart goes up to -60 volts. If I can get away with this change, I can move my E80L operating point from -8V to -10V.
