Two Transformers same mains line help please

The linear power supply would be way too expensive and very heavy for 4 X [TPA3255 2X300W ]. However, you can still do it but having in mind your experience... I suggest not going down this path.... for example, you'd need pretty sophisticated surge protection circuitry just to turn that power supply on.

SMPS is your option... use one SMPS per each of the 4 amplifiers... to avoid hiss/noise/instability issues. Keep the wiring as short as possible.

Agree 100%

Google and research the price of transformer, filter capacitor, heat sink and chassis. AB amplification with linear power supply will easily double or even triple the cost!

God he is right! I forgot about the initial surge for this big of a power supply. Yup, some sort of surge prevention/protection is in order. In fact, in this case, a separate chassis would likely be an answer no matter which way you go. 4 power supplies at this amperage (5 amps each) may take up some real estate. Then you have the amp modules themselves, not to mention all of the associated hardware.

Yikes more headaches lol. I was going to use a a smps with proper voltage but x4 A to accommodate 4 boards and use bus bar. Appreciate the information and help! Sorry of I'm driving you guys nuts
