Thanks, car audio is where I got started, too. I was into wood working and one thing lead to another... if you'd like more ideas/info hit up the Tech Talk over at PartsExpress, lots of nice builds and speaker geeks that can help ya on your way.

Yeah all passive, the mini is just a 1.5uF cap and level matching resistor.

That's the build pics.

The datasheet for the mini shows a drooping frequency response that seems a few dB lower than the AMTPRO-4. Since you used a level matching resistor, were you padding both of these down to match the larger drivers in the system after baffle step?

Thanks for the tip, I imported the Dayton drivers from PE & spotted a build on their site using a pair of AMT minis with the PRO 4. I'm hoping, the AMT PRO 4's will sound good on their own with some EQ once they are up and running.

I used the ND20FB at 12K with the AMT3-4. I definitely agree there's a benefit in filling in the top end.

This was a passive design. Aesthetics won out on the horizontal placement.

OB I prefer a stacked symmetrical arrangement as the summation is difficult enough to equalize. Plus I dislike making left hand and right hand baffles 🙂
