Get well, Jeff.. ...I am in a good position to relate: I just finished up a 14 day stint in hospital with adult-onset mononucleosis; the issues are quite abit different for "grown ups," than with kids. My spleen was in serious risk of being "retired," and only in the last few days have I started to feel abit like myself again; little shafts of light, in the darkness. Ringer's lactate, and a couple transfusions kept putting me back in the game. It is leaving me incredibly weak, and after ten hours sleep I am good for about three before it is time to kick back, no strength. I cannot pick up 10 lbs off the floor, and wouldnt dare drive. I have lost in the area of ~20lbs of meat, and gained about that in water, due to the long-term histamine responses. AND, hospital WiFi crapped out where my room was. I was however able to have my dog brought in to visit with the kids, and there were plenty of visitors because it is the hospital in which I work, so lots of laughs, and sushi. Thank gawd for the small details. The specialist also told me that were I not in excellent physical shape it would be a good bet that the virus might have won.... So, I feel ya brah... stay cool, and let us know the results of your tests.

Report back after surgery soldier. This forum needs all it's members to be a smooth running operation. That's an order! 😉
Gaw gaw gawdzirra!
You're a lucky man Jeff. First that you avoided cardiac arrest, and now that you're being well taken care of by excellent modern medicine. I had a much less difficult issue in having an appendectomy this past december, and I was constantly amazed how much medicine has advanced with modern imaging, low invasion surgical techniques, and other things.
You're in good shape. Ask the fam to bring you some BIBs, and play pathetic if the docs try to argue 🙂
Soon you'll be back crushing tokyo

Get well soon.🙂
PS did you manage to surf the diy and see my new speaker stands I built??? Take a look.

Last year friend of mine had a tumor in his upper arm. He got "aware" of it because a bruise right above the tumor wouldn't go away. He went through chemo, surgery and radiation therapy, at age 26. He recovered, and right now he's riding a motorbike around Katmandu...
Music was a huge motivation for him, he played guitar a lot and also learned to play acoustic bass guitar. We took him to as many concerts as possible, made sure he catches some sunlight and fresh mountain air and even went friction climbing while he could not fully use his arm after surgery.
With the right attitude everything is possible. Stay strong, and get well soon!

Zilla - our best wishes, thoughts, and prayers for you in this difficult time. I'm seven weeks into recovering from a five-way by-pass, and count my blessings every day. My surgical nurse Jerry said that I was asking about how things went with my five-way cross-over when I saw the wires for my temporary pace-makers sticking out of my chest! Be good to the Nurses and they will be good to you!! A couple of days on hospital food and that tumor will give up and leave of it's own accord.
Go away for awhile, and return late, and look what I have missed? I too wish you a speedy recovery, and G-dspeed.
I've been reading alot from your site, Though I dont know you, My thoughts are with you.
I hope you get well soon.
