Thank you for such a quick response. Should the original firmware supplied by TP also be removed?
Best
Bob
The firmware on the BII should also be removed. The Arduino will be controlling BII's functions.
Ciao!

Hi, anyone tried Tube Zator feeding with Monica dac? Thanks.
Hi Wwan,
I have not tried it with the Monica dac but you have to make sure it is a current output DAC or it will not work with the Tube-I-Zator.
If it is, I'm very convinced it would sound great but as I have said, I have not tried it...
Oliver, Have you tried 1545 type DACs with the Tube (don't know if it's a current output)?
Ciao!

Yah since I am going back, and knowing one of my friend own the Monica and BII. I was thinking to ask him sparing me the Morica for a start. That case have to ask him regarding current output DAC. As usual I am not very familiar with this, but Monica was once use passive output in initial stage. I don't know what does that mean. Will check.
Thanks alot Do!!
Thanks alot Do!!
As told his older Monica dac can't support Hi res. So I might have a chance to use it with my Ipod first.
Actually, here's a good review from TNT audio...

Don't know if you saw this DAC but I read some real good reviews of it...

Personal announcement
Well my friends it is time again to say thanks to all of you, who like and ordered my pcb´s.
Because i am no developer of electronic circuits but have the knowledge to design pcb´s,
i wanted to give something back to the community.
Since i started with my 1st pcb, the Optical-Volume-Control on 15th October 2009,
a small donation from every sold pcb goes to diyaudio.com
Today i am proud to say that your cumulated donation achieve
$ 2.675
Keep on having fun with my pcb´s and best regards
Oliver

Hi Oliver,
I see in the bom of the tube I zator V 2.0 the are two different Aavid Thermalloy Heatsinks One is Aavid Thermalloy 529801B02500G and the other is Aavid Thermalloy 513012B02500G
If I use the Aavid Thermalloy 513102B02500G instead of the other it's ok ?
Francesco.

Hi Francesco,
the 529801B02500G is needed for the heater psu. Use only this at this place!
The 513102B02500G is the minimum for the SSHV shunt.
Best regards,
Oliver
As for the Buffalo-II/III optimized Tube-I-zator: The price was around 30€ for the PCB, right? Then count me in, please
There is only one Tube-I-zator You could also use it with the Buffalo.
If you want to order, please send me a PM.
Hello dvb-projekt,
I was referring to this post: http://www.diyaudio.com/forums/group-buys/156149-tube-i-zator-professional-pcb-65.html#post2822638
I thought, that maybe some, who have not posted in the forum, have PMed you and we get the 12 together. Anyways...I'll PM you.

You got a PM!
Ok maybe I dont need instructions but I do have a couple of questions;
1) In photo 1 below there is a WHITE line linking 2 points beside the switch, am I just suppose to link these 2 points with a bit of wire?
2) In the BOM the R I/V resistors are 56 ohm, but I read in the thread somewhere that the Twisted Pear people would recommend 32 ohms, is that correct?
3) In photo 2, because I am using the Salsa Shunt regulator board I have left out one of the caps & the associated 1K resistor, is that correct?
4) I am a bit unsure (no idea really ) how to connect the Salsa Shunt board to the output stage, I'm pretty sure I connect to the TB1 TB2 points but definitely need some help here.
