"True" DSD DAC Chips

I would like to know whic which dac chips has "DSD direct" path and/or can work without any DSD to PCM conversion, upsampling etc.
For example:
Burr Brown DSD1793?
AK4490?

Yes, I know them and also the:
- STAR Pure DSD,
- RT Audio Design Pure DSD Converter,
- LampizatOr DSD DAC
But I would like to know about the commercial DAC chips!

DSD1700

I have no experience of the DSD1700, but have used the TDA1547 (DAC7) in a few designs, it tends to sound thin and light - I suspect let down by its internal Opamps ...

PCM179X with DSD input

I'm sure pcm1792 has a dedicated converter with 67 taps from 1bitDSM to an analog signal. I have the document about the principle of their 1bitDSM converter written in Japanese(I don't know English version exists or not). From the datasheet, AK4499 also has a shortcut to the final stage. Theoretically speaking, bypassing an internal modulator means non-multibit: 1bitDSM.

AKM: 4493, 4497, 4499 all have direct DSD mode. 4499 is their new chip with all new switched resistor design and current output.

Very nice for DSD. Best sound quality from it IME requires among other things an ultra low close-in phase noise clock.

You can also do a true DSD direct (ie true 1bit) using a tube

Valve DAC

Myself and another DIY Audio member are currently working on a DSD-only version of Marcel's Valve DAC.

Marcel was very kind in modifying his original PCB to accept a 'raw' DSD data stream. I really ought to kick myself to make some more progress with the project but I'm trying to clear a couple of other projects off my todo list first as I've been spreading my efforts to thinly.
