Set both channels to 1v/div. Touch the probes to the cal point on the front of the scope. Do both show the test signal?
If you set the generator to about 60hz, set the output to the highest level and connect your multimeter (on ACV) to it's output, do you read any output voltage?
Switch to a square wave and using the scope in differential mode, does it produce a flat line up to about 100kHz?
I was trying to set it right and got double lines. Moving the position couldn’t line them up so I tried that dc/Bal adjustment on channel one and the top line moved. Tired to move the one for channel 2 and realized it’s not in there. That’s probably the problem.
The DC balance is likely to adjust the scope to prevent having the trace move when you adjust the vertical amplifier setting. It may not be an issue to have it missing if the scope was previously working.
Is the scope on 'add'?
Is the scope on 'add'?
everything set like stated in post 13. When I touch calibration point nothing on the screen. Tried with negatives connected and not. Moved both position knob and nothing
