discount password on the TI eval board
has the password for the discount changed for the TI eval board?
I was trying the one that was good several months ago and not having any success.

It would seem that the 'highpoweraudio' discount code has expired. No doubt another one will be along soon...
I also updated the writeup for this TPA3255 design on 360customs:

Doc, nice!
info about LLC SMPS?
My LLC SMPS using irs27591, wait PCB from China.

Nice bit of work! I just stole all the magnetics out of a couple dead computer PSU's. Might try my hand as well. 🙂
Oh, we ordered a bunch (like 25 or so) of 2-chamber-ETD-bobbins + cores from TaoBao for this supply. (12-14 weeks of transport with 10% broken parts)
I am contemplating building a 3251-based amp as a birthday present for a friend to replace his old Marantz PM-54 integrated. I need to do this fairly cheaply and was thinking to use the 3e 3251 stereo board (i've got other more involved projects with 3251, but those will have to wait a bit).
My question relates to power supply. I have some capMX boards lying around unused i was thinking i might employ. Since the amp board only needs a single rail supply, this could make a fairly compact solution as i see it. But would a capMX such as Juma's (using irfp240 rated for 20A) be able to handle full power draw? I don't expect him to use full power of the amp, but i assume it is foolish practice not to use a power supply rated for at least that.
As for transformer, would a 300VA be sufficient i wonder?
Or would it be cheaper (and just as good) to just go for a connex/meanwell 300W supply? I know that's what a lot of people do here...

My modifications :
10.
10k 1% instead 10k 5%

hi sybic
which resistor do you mentioned at point 10??
All in the audio signal path at the opamps. I use 0.5% from Susumu at this. (Thin film)

If you need it "better" use RG or RS series which mainly have tighter tolerance and lower TC.

What voltage does your supply provide?
You may use the SHUTDOWN function of the amp to mute while power-up/down.
I once made a fix for the blue PCB version like shown in the picture.

It's located on the right side next to the heatsink. If yours look different, send a picture of that region.
Wire a switch between these two points for manual muting the amp.
Doc, thank sharing SHUTDOWN function suggestion for mute...
FX502Spro is really great sounding amp, having auto-mute would make it perfect, I am amateur on how to do it...
Is it possible to implement an automatically mute function during power-up/down for FX502Spro? How to go about?
