TPA3116D2 Amp

Exactly. 2yrs ago I was lucky enough to visit, business trip. Out of curiosity a fellow delegate bought a "fake" iPhone, stripped it out and what do you know......all parts were exactly same as apples extortion. Just lacking a piece of fruit!

Yeah but the stuff inside the silicon chips isn't always the same.

This is a little trickier with complex SoC stuff to replicate, rather than just a fake lm3886, but fake semi's, fake caps and under speccing on parts has been around for years.

I don't buy the adage that many of these cheap Chinese parts are faked, low quality imitations. Not when even huge respected manufacturers also wrap their cheap options in fancy packaging and sell as different more "high end" part.

Most western manufacturers source parts for assembly in the east. Now, the west used to be that the nearer you were to manufacturer, the cheaper you could get goods. Unfortunately, due to the West's big business corps running our govs this is no longer the case.
A neat trick for authenticity...... If you want a product from china or Taiwan or Japan cheap, then research where the manufacturer makes that part. Then search for the closest supplier to that location in your price range. I was shocked during my visit to see how many suppliers local to the manufacturer were being sold OEM parts of other big corps.

Unfortunately my business was not audio. If it had been I would have a suitcase of parts still requiring a project to use!

I finally found an affordable 32v 6amp SMPS brick. Perfect in pairs for my dual rail projects or for TDA7498's. $22 shipping included.

Online Shop 32V power supply for TDA7498 100W+100W Class D Amplifier Board High Power Amplifier Board|Aliexpress Mobile

I hope your works if you buy it. I bought two 12VDC power supplies from an Aliexpress vendor and neither of them worked? Of course I did'nt fool with trying to get them replaced, as it is too big a hassle! So I just got burned for $18.00, and learned a very valuable lesson.

Mac🙂

Whenever I go for buying power bricks I always make sure to actually buy legit surplus units from UK sellers. I don't want to bother with Chinese made SMPS where safety could be compromised. I don't doubt that some of them are perfectly fine, but I've seen a number of videos on youtube of mains operated stuff that are built to blast. 😱

In google chrome I get overblown page I can't do anything with from those mobile ali links, copy paste in ieexplorer and it looks and functions ok. So yes some problems but no request to register (they do know IP from complaint-tickets I still send every other week LOL)

What do you mean by economical?

(Even if a company produce in China, that doesn't mean they will sell for cheap - why should they? And this also does not mean that Ali sellers sell genuine stuff.)

So everyone is complaining about cheap faked parts on cheap Chinese amplifier boards, with several units arrived already dead but now you want to tell me, that TDK inductors (or caps, or whatever) sold under price at Aliexpress are genuine?

This is illogical!

Why so harsh?
Neither was irribeo addressing you, nor did he say that those are genuine parts.

Well, when comparing prices, then you should consider same parts or genuine/fake. Didn't wanted to be harsh, but those things don't go together to me.

I can't understand, why there are complains about fake parts, but on the other hand, those parts are bought because they are cheap. (And then gets changed for real/better parts) Does this makes sense in an economic way? Wouldn't this mean, that those (fake) parts are produced to waste them?

It's not against a particular person, it's about the way things are gonna happen.

Just saying. 🙂
