Toroidal transformer

Thank you
I notice that most toroid manufactures state the the dual secondaries must be wired in series or parrallel. Is there a problem using a bridge rectifier for each secondary winding to build a bipolar supply like on the DIY universal power supply board?

Hi,

Wiring the secondaries in series or parallel are just regular connections to increase total voltage or current. If you want to build a dual PS using two bridges that configuration it is the best circuit you can implement IMHO. Doing so you would avoid any average current to be establish in the secondaries in case of an unbalanced current output. Doing a center tape configuration and just one bridge you could saturate the transformer under those circumstances.
