Thanks Soundhappy; that's good to hear. 🙂
But now I have to figure out what to do with all this glass stuff.
😕

Road trip! It's been way too long since I've been in the SR neighborhood.
The triodes will be in a box labeled:
For Zen Mod, distortion generators. (He'll never suspect.)😉

Soundhappy, those amps are amazing, but I think a THF-51 amp will be easier to carry! Hope you got to listen to the 211/801A amps when they were in France!

Yes, I agree with you.Amplifier with THF-51S are more convenient,
much longer life span than vacuum tube.
On another side 211 DHTriode amp with high quality audio transformers,
good topology, etc. has his own unique sound character.
Both are interesting to build 😀

@Soundhappy,
WOW 😱
It appears I need to consider much higher voltages and lower current.
Thanks!

I am afraid 211 triodes B+ is ~ 1300V so only for experienced FAB = fearless amp builders
( i am not ready yet..not many gray hairs..maybe in the future ? )
and better no cat in the listening room who like play games with blinky tubes

For Tokin psu ~ 60V is OK and much safer 😀
Edit: European Triode Festival in France with 211/801 amp presentation etc.
is was not open evenement for ordinary Diyers is..for the high level audio Designers.

That is why I have so many grey hairs; I never tried to build a HV tube amp, and have lived long enough to dream.
I was thinking 60V would be good but those charts make me think at least 100V would be significantly more linear.
Regarding ETF in France: that's what makes Burning Amp in SF so great, they let all kinds of riffraff (like me) in!

OK 😀 Psu filtering higher voltages capacitors prices increase exponentially + 100V cost big

Can I think of this as being like a 'Remote Cut-Off' tube, similar to the 6386?
