Just so you are aware it is possible and you could have had all the alumnium re-anodized/hard coated when it was apart.

I wouldn't mind running across something like that in a dumpster, but it's not likely to happen around here. We did have a Threshold dealer down in Charleston (two hours from here) many years ago, but this is one of the poorest states in the nation and I doubt that he sold many units, simply as a function of economics...especially since he also sold Mark Levinson at the same time and potential customers for high-bucks solid state gear would have been divided between the two brands.
The only audio gear you find being thrown away hereabouts is cheap car stuff. Sad, but dem's da facts.

Treshold 400A is a true Class A or not ?

And sould i buy one ?

Is it repairable in case ?

I suppose 35,000 may be a stress on the power switch and lead to premature failure. I have been using 22,000 for years, but as of 2011 they have not been available. I have used a 2" 31,000uf with success for premium package updates.

I am new here and have been looking around the site and am enjoying. I recently picked up a 400A, that I am about to rebuild. Does anyone know were to obtain a power switch ( breaker} for the 400.
