Ha, you actually think us Americans care about the real history behind any holiday?

Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Chirstmas are just reasons to eat, drink, and spend money on useless crap that eventually ends up in a landfill. It's the American way.

Some might not be aware, is all...and might be a bit more cautious about how and whom they extend their trust to or with, after contemplating such a thing. Every person has their point where they turn the corner, turn the page. Anger is largely the path people take if it is thrust upon them. Be it a social, cultural, personal, political, historical, or whatever kind of revelation that might create change within them.

A key point of getting folks to figure such things out, without engaging a directed emotional response from them--is to have them pursue the avenue of understanding themselves. The old horse and water story. Or, 'you just can't tell them'.

Cynicism, anger, sarcasm, or a some variation on all three might be contained in your response (I dunno, wording, perhaps?) - but to me, the vital point is that you actually look at it in some fashion. And that is a good thing, from my point of view.

Never baptise a cat...

And a little secret... the only kitty Cal has is about 5' long...

That's a foot warmer. I found a website about some people and their huge cat somewhere. They said they had to get on to it now and then because it would stand up and have a blast wiping everything off of the counter!

The real surprise for me here is that Cal took my advice. Most people just ignore me. Guess that's the advantage of the site, people really don't know me that well, yet.
Be careful with that cat Cal, one that big can take a big bite out of the wallet. And usually they put the leash on you!😀

I resemble that remark.

I must too, since I didn't know this. 😀

Before one reaches the level of enlightenment in which they receive telepathy, they are said to be telepathetic, because their mind is usually a jumble of worries, fear, and ignorance. Anyone who is telepathic perceives this.

Telepathetic: 1. Pathetic at long distances; usually determined by a psychic. 2. A state of enlightenment before telepathic powers are received.

The above information is (c) keantoken.

All of that aside, why then can't Notre Dame be built again? It looks straight forward enough to me.

The problem with all of these so-called truths that are "thrust upon me" is they lead down roads that quickly dead end upon closer scrutiny.

perhaps a submission to the "Mythbusters" show on the toob is in order?

That should put an end to all this idle speculation, eh? :devilr: 😉 😀
