Excellent work i am very happy, well worth the price. ajpl66 has provided me this service since i dont have the tools to make the boards.

Any body registered on ebay that sells electronic components cos i would like to purchase all the compeonents needed to complete two of these dhr turbo boards. money can be paid via paypal.

Into my daugther opinion, the DHR Turbo is vastly superior to any other amplifier....

i have at home.... and believe me, i have many excelent amplifiers.

I have some doubts, each one of them with their own strong points and weak points.

She loves the DHR Turbo, and when wants me to play loud music she always ask me to install the DHR.

Those last days i am appreciating Dunlap amplifier very much...has not that power and dinamic but reproduces superior treble.

regards,

Carlos

I see you have not readed the thread... a good idea to read, as many informations are

there to help you.

Those are transistors.... the base and emitter junctions are used as diodes to control the output stages bias..... the base to emitter forward voltage (around 600 milivolts to each one) will produce the needed voltage that will be needed to force output drivers and output power transistors to operate.

Those transistors are conected in series.... the junctions goes in series..and the transistors are attached to the main heatsink to sense the heat... those transistors use insulators and the direct voltage of 600 milivolts in each one of them will drop when the junction heat up because of the heatsink transfering heat to those junctions.... when the voltage drop the voltage to the output transistors will go down too (DC bias Voltage, the one stablishes the stand by current..the small current that must flow from colector to emitter to allow the transistors to conduct into class AB).... the base to emitter voltage depends from those diodes and the current into output transistors, the colector to emitter current depends from the base to emitter voltage (or current if you prefer to understand this way).

I am sure this was mentioned and explained...i very good idea, dear Jocka, to spend some time reading.

regards,

Carlos

Thanks carlos yes i do need to read the threads more carefully. the reason i asked and quickly read through threads is becuase i am starting uni tomrow and time is running out thats why i am asking direct questions in order to fill in information i need to know quickly as possible.

list of components

anyone got the alex mm dhr turbo list of components including price as i am trying to setup a list in spreadsheet it gets kinda complicated i end up with replications and errors.

i am producing the list to work out the budget required to purchase all the parts to populate the board.

if you do have a list of all the components matching dhr turbo produced by alex mm i will really really really really appricate it if anyone can provide me this.

Thank You

I will include my spreadsheet in the attachment. Some of nf type caps or film do not have voltage as i couldnt find out from the dhr turbo pcb layout diagram.
I did look at the original and final schematic but some parts dont match the diagram which belongs to alex mm.

Download the spreadsheet from following link:

Hello Carlos and Alexmm, I just had my PCB for power supply done. I am still on the process of populating the board. I will post the pics soon. Just want to ask does it need a ferrite to wound a 1uh inductor or I can just simply make a wire wound air core with the same value?

Regards

Julius

Okay thanks alexmm. I will posting the images soon. By the way can I use 8000uf/100v instead of 10000uf? This is the only solder type caps available. The 10kuf/100v caps are screw types in the store here. I believe it can already serve the needed load for the amp. By the way, what is the number of the diodes used in both sides and the two located in the center of the amplifier board. Can I use anything with the same kind?
