I added a John Nolte designed sub system with 2 tens in four (each) boxes about a year ago. Everything has broken in quite well.
I have since ended up with a tiny bit of tinnitus...
But your ears aren't supposed to be part of what you BREAK in.
Take care.

You are having entirely TOO MUCH FUN. It looks like they go low enough that you have no use for a mid now ;-).
I'm using the 18 sound NSD1095's and liking them in my FrankenPi's. (Started life as Theatre 7's in the 90's).
The biggest improvement I got this year was installing stereo Dirac. Very nice what that software does.

After breaking in the JBL 2012h for the last year they have really smoothed out and they sound amazing. Everything that I found offensive is gone. Just need a little on top...
Super tweeter or wait 10 years. It'll be fine ;-)
Just installed the new compression drivers and they add quite a bit to the top end. The second test is when my friend who is twenty years younger than I am comes over!
Vintage is wonderful but the new tech has advanced for sure.
This years improvement for me included Dirac stereo DSP since I listen to streamed music just about all the time. It works SO nicely.
So many toys...
Best wishes for the holiday season and the New Year.

So I ordered a MiniDSP DDRC-88A for the DIRAC. I have been happy(ish) with my setup but doing the EQ is such a chore. At one point I asked Siegfried Linkwitz if I could pay him to setup my system.. He said no but thanked me for asking! I loved the way his systems sounded at low volume!
