The Wolverine 4th Group buy

I spent lately many days examining several amplifier designs and simulating the ones with LTspice schematics available. As the result of this effort I become impressed by the quality of the Wolverine design. This makes me ask if there are Wolverine PCBs from the 4th group buy still available, and if not, are there any plans for a next group buy?

Hi Guys,

We're excited to share some great news, which we hope will enhance your amplifier building experience.
The Wolverine team is thrilled to announce that anodized heat sinks are now available for our project.

These heat sinks are specifically designed to fit perfectly with our current boards. Here's what we've got:

  • Heat sinks suitable for the IPS Boards V4.9.
  • Pre-driver heat sinks designed for V4.2 of the EF3-3 & EF3-4 Output Stage Boards (OPS Boards).
  • Driver heat sinks for V4.2 of the EF3-3 Output Stage Boards.
We are offering full sets of these heat sinks, which include installed Mill-Max pins:

  • EF3-3 IPS, Pre-Driver & Driver: $27.5 USD (6 Heatsink Total)
  • EF3-4 IPS & Pre-Driver: $22.5 USD (4 Heatsink Total)
Thank you for your continued support of the Wolverine projects. If you have any questions or would like to place an order, feel free to reach out via PM.

@jjs is in the USA, and I am in Australia, so please PM whoever is closer to you, and we'll arrange some for you.

Happy building!

Best regards,
Stuart & the Wolverine Team

After contacting fireanimal he informed promptly that Wolverine PCBs were still available, and that stuartmp took care of the deliveries to Europe. I contacted stuartmp and sent my order mid October. The mailing and administrative costs for a delivery of 2 x 2 sets (total 4 PCBs) of Wolverine PCBs and heatsinks to Finland was about 37 USD. The PCBs arrived mid November. Customs declaration did not cause additional costs.

At the end of October I received a Dropbox link from stuartmp for downloading the documentation. It is a huge package of information containing everything you can imagine to need for an amplifier build, especially a very detailed Build Guide covering everything from component selection to testing of the finalized amplifier. The information package did not cover the Wolverine PCB part only, but the whole amplifier plus valuable general information.

After receiving the PCBs, I was amazed about their quality. They are real artwork, pieces of fine technical art. Additionally I have never seen so much useful information printed on any PCB. Especially the component references on the bottom side of the PCBs was something new to me - a really practical thing regarding testing and possible fault location. I am completely satisfied also with the PCBs.

If a serious enthusiast is not able to build a quality amplifier based on these PCBs and the accompanying technical information, he must blame himself only. Implementing this kind of construction project will raise at least my amplifier know-how to a new level, despite earlier design and construction of several amplifiers.

I really appreciate the work of the Wolverine Team and thank the team for making the results available at a reasonable cost.

Kind regards
Martant

You can use MT-200 packages on the EF3-3 & EF3-4 only. You can specify this at the modushop here.
