1:5 in volume, 1:10 for depth, 1:6 for fresh fallen
Either way, that adds up to a lot of water.'Snowmageddon'
Many East Coast residents spent Sunday digging out their cars and clearing pathways of snow which reached about 3ft (91cm) in five states.
The storm, dubbed "Snowmageddon" and "Snowzilla", has now weakened and headed out into the Atlantic Ocean.
It affected some 85 million people, at one point cutting the power to 300,000 people. The heaviest fall was recorded in Glengary, West Virginia, which had 42in.

Up here in Scotland snow melts down to become water; not visa versa!
I believe that it is the same worldwide; except, it seems, for the Royal County of Berkshire.

Obviously the weekend has given large stored up pedantry to get rid of.
"Snowmageddon" hits UK/Europe on Tuesday/Wednesday, but no snow left but +12c and very wet. Again.

Here snow melts to become mud. Semi - frozen brown crud, like a Coca Cola Slurpee, but not as tasty.
Ed, I know how much you like experimentation and unpredictable outcomes. However, in this case, I really hope for a null result. But if not, don't show us the results. Please.
I compromised. Set the temperature at 140F and the drop span to 15F.
Even more impressive if intentional:
Ice Fountain on Belle Isle - Detroit - Reader Submission
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.
The way the tree is encased you couldn't have planned if you had tried. Not likely to end well for the tree tho.
Even more impressive if intentional:
Apparently the frozen tree IS intentional, not a fire hydrant, and done for several consecutive years. It is also far from this particular storm. It is in Heber City Utah.

Needs a lot of sauce and spice (and booze) for an acceptable taste... 🙁Kentucky Frozen Chicken
But I read it on the Internet, it must be true, lol.Apparently the frozen tree IS intentional, not a fire hydrant, and done for several consecutive years. It is also far from this particular storm. It is in Heber City Utah.

None major disaster to report here today...weather as usual...relatively warm...with some rain and some sun...Island kind of weather.
Gasboss,
I'm very much interested in the morphological particulars of your anatomy, not sure others at this forum are as equally enthousiasted.
