The ultimate CCS-X-BOSOZ

I have been working on the ultimate version of the CCS-X-BOSOZ.

The idea behind is to go all the way with the best in components and thermal management.

This means thermally coupled fets, the best caps available in all positions and CLC filter before the regulated PSU.

I have one small problem though, as I have designed the PCB in PCB123, so I need a little help to be able to post the layout, as I don't have a scanner (need to print and scan)...anyone??

The file is the left half of the amp layout, the right half is simply mirrored on a copymachine.

What do you think?

Magura :)

Nice layout, Magura. I was thinking of using PTFE caps for bypassing all the electrolytics on the X-CCS BosoZ too ;) Looks really good with provision for them on the board.
Maybe you want to make more room for the 10uF outputcap?
You might want to go crazy and mount some wild outputcap:cool:
Who knows?
I guess you will be using the circuit with this beauty :D :

Magura,

I was not able to open the circuit file you offered on the first post.

But based on the circuit offered later, from Kristijan I guess, it seems that there is no need for two CCS.

Some time ago I did discuss the point with Kristijan and he agreed on this point and I can see others on this forum using only one CCS.

Hope to hear from you on the outcome of this pre

I have thought of the option of making more space for the output cap, it could be done reasonably simple on this layout.....think I will do so.

Well, a very nice option for the output cap would be this one:

Unfortuantely I think I will not be allowed to have a fridge sized pre-amp in the living room :D

...and yes the attenuator is made for a BOSOZ, how did you figure that ;)

Those Siemens MKK caps might be the perfect match for that preamp. Some might say 167uF is overkill, but what.....? 167uF did I really get that right?? I would go for it:D
But whatever, a 30uF mkp should do the trick, I guess. Looking at your Son of Zen chassis, you won't have a mini component stereo anyway, so what is wrong with a "slightly" big preamp?:D
All the designs seen lately, only have one CCS. Also the X2 has one per channel, so it might do;)
