Ciao e grazie Massimo, what are more or less the prices?, what about some software to use in the laptop?
Really I'm lost, not idea about prices & specs.

Used instruments on eBay. If you're lucky you can "steal" a Leader 120B for 60-70€ + shipping. I got mine years ago for more or less that amount. A friend of mine recently got a HP 3310B for 85 €

The HP 239A is more espensive, but if I find one.....
Specs: just enough! 😉
I personally prefer real instruments rather than pc stuff.

Off Topic: today great football match Arsenal Vs Barça
... and Inter Vs CSKA Moscow

Could I use these BG 2.200uF/63V for the PS:
I don't remember who's told me that's a lot of times is more important the quality of the caps that the amount of capacitance.
Thks for help.
An externally hosted image should be here but it was not working when we last tested it.

Hi Ken, could you be so kind to post (or send me by p.m.) the ExpressPCB files (.SCH and .PCB)?
I'm lazy... (and I like to play with toner transfer...)
Thanks in advance
Guido,
On the condition that the next time I'm in Bergamo you'll buy me a double espresso 😉
Here you go, I've only made the positive voltage version so far. Just rename the files and remove the ".txt" from the name.
No warranties express or implied....
Ken

Is this a good regulator for digital clocks like for the Mtech Hiface?
Now this is a good question 🙂
Is this a good regulator for digital clocks like for the Mtech Hiface?
I don't know from own experience, but V1.0 it was endorsed and used by a well known Italian DIYer in his DAC END 2 as a triplet for the chips. DAC End 2 - the AD1865N-K with single ended vacuum output stage

I replaced the cable between the Shunts & the RIAA, after the thin cable & now the thick cable.
Never mind that tell "how much different sound a cable", in this case bigger cable is like to tell better sound🙂

Without Rs, thicker long cable surely matters. For the main filter capacitors you can use the BG. Not in the regs themselves.
The long cable is only for the photo, really is 10cm aprox.
Are you sure I don't have any kind of penalty to reduce the capacitance at the filter mains PS caps?

I assure you that 10cm is very long for virtually making the reg ''one thing'' with the load. You will see that when you will apply remote sensing even the thicker cable you use now will ''shine'' with its absence.
2200 is enough for the current you need. Its a matter of cap quality what you will prefer in the end.

Hmm don't tell me so about Rs😡, still I'm waiting the resistors but Easter time all in delay so I don't know when I will receive the resistor to do Rs. About cables, better cable: "no cable", next time Salas regs. will share same pcb together Salas Phono RIAA😀.
I have in mind to change the box so the regs. will be the more near possible (less than 1 cm or so) to the phono RIAA, but 1st need to ultimate the Rs & who knows the reg. V1.2 if finally I can manage the oscilloscope🙂.
Now I remembered was Michael Percy who tell me about caps, thanks to confirm Salas now I will try 2200 in PS.

Star Ground
Could be this a good star gnd for v1.0:
And for v1.0 Remote Sense:
Advice will be welcome, thanks.
