The thing is ElArte, we are still the same inhabitants of this earth as it was before AI. If we can reduce human kind as a whole, that would of course be the best for the ecological system. But should we interefere with this? Should we let AI create everybody as orange haired silly minded self endulged idiots? Should we replicate the same? What’s the end goal with human existence? The world IS overpopulated. By idiots. It is not overpopulated with refugees, by humans or any species, flowers or animals. But it is without any doubt whatsoever overpopulated by idiots.

Right now, LLMs are just resampling their training data and extrapolating patterns they learned in some contexts to other contexts. They are not human; they’re just tools, very clever indices. They’ll never be human, even when they are fully aligned with human values.

Well I think it can be a compliment. There is no ”truth” in audio design and in my experience the gpt’s are still guessing quite a lot, but it could give ideas and perform time consuming tasks.
