Is it only me or does your diy-adventures usually end the evening with two hours walking around seemingly clueless looking for stuff you just had in your hand? Ney, it’s time for a cuppa and some vinyl bro.

Second time I sped time, searching for something that fell out of my hand, it's Miller time.

I had a new 100-bag with brass standoffs that I remember getting one out and measure the same morning. In the evening nowhere to be found. Next morning someone had placed the bag in a fruit bowl in the kitchen. Nasty little goblins.

I have never tried or had any kind of force trying to be different than my mates during the years. In fact I think I wanted to share their taste of music or movies or whatever. It’s just that I don’t care much for whatever they care for. Just put on the tele and watch ”the 10 most popular shows/movies”. The intelligence from this tells us that we as human kind is falling from a deep cliff.

Then, of course, the question: do we all have to sacrifice to our consequences voting in crazy leaders? Does our children?

Yes, I’m afraid so. It’s a path we have taken together

I had a pair of pristine L306, gave them as gift to same wakoo friend, and those were best ever (original, non-tweaked) extended range speaks of big format I ever heard ....... and 3354 is practically the same

how to find them (any)?

easy - make a list of 15++ links, to ads (search term by your preferences) in functional vicinity ( for me practically entire Europe)
make a habit of taking 30min every evening, with cup of coffee, to click on said link group, and check is there anything new, affordable for your wallet
make a group of helper friends, handy if collecting is needed, or local dispatch, also to share potential trade to check sanity
avoid sharing links to damn snatchers
expect anything from 2 months to 10 months time to get to proper opportunity; take it as evening fun, so no frustration, just enjoinment

it worked several times for me ....... in most cases friends did more work, so pleasure is shared

btw. if those prices I've seen ( say 1K9 for pair of 15" boxes) are real, I'm saying - interesting .......

though, much more interested how their drivers could sing in proper big boxes.........

not disputing their product (target market, box format), simply - my own set of criteria is different and for my own needs there is no reason for same compromises

Dunno why exactly but they are very sensitive to SBIR, especially rear wall cancellation effects. Maybe something with the pipe. Had to have them 3 m out for proper base and then I ended up sitting in the dining room listening. So I flipped it around, now they are standing at the border of dining room and living room and I am properly placed in the living room.

But the size makes them a tad to extreme to have there so I am in the process of masking them as side boards or room dividers 🙂

Anyway, they go flat down to 40 now as they should. Pipe tuned to fs 39 Hz so even a little enhancement there giving a nice oomph

Widening the baffle also had nice lower mid effects
