Being near the end of the Baby Boomers, I once owned a pair of those and was quite pleased to find out that my attitude improved while wearing them. The saying 'looking at life through rose coloured glasses' is not a misnomer.
I vacation on my motorcycle in western NC and eastern TN. I looked at real estate there last fall. Almost got my motorcycle stuck twice due to road conditions. Incredibly gorgeous part of the country. Currently scheduled to vacation there again this fall but the crazy covid drama may prevent that.
😀 Then you've probably made the Tail of the Dragon run a few times. There are so many beautiful rides out that way. We're heading back in a few weeks for a road trip to see family (no bikes).
Yes we do the tail of the dragon every year. Last year a small break-off group of us did the moonshiner 28. I actually like the moonshiner 28 more than the tail of the dragon.
We also do the Cherohahla Skyway and the Foothills Parkway and the Blueridge Parkway.
I attended a different second rally last year. A new to me road was Dracula's Driveway. There were orange suited hunters all over parts of Dracula's Driveway. It is in Transylvania County NC. Humorous names.

Next time your there try ‘the rattler’ NC 209, stop at Dave’s 209 for a burger ( next door to spring creek F.D.) look north from the parking lot up on the left you’ll see my cabin!
I have not ridden the rattler. It is on the list. I have ridden the back of the dragon. I rode in a car on the snake and was appalled at how crumbled the pavement was.
