A fractal universe - from broccoli to No Man's Sky on Vimeo
Thanks for this nice video!
It may arouse the interest of anyone who has not yet heard of the wonderful world of fractals and chaos.
I have read first about Mandelbrot set in a hungarian issue of Scientific American, in the late 80's.
Then, because it captivated me by its beauty, I've bought this book:
The Beauty of Fractals - Wikipedia
This wasn't so easy at that time.
And it cost me about half a month’s salary.
So I have been in bondage to fractals and chaos ever since.
As Papa said to me once:
Gyuri, chaos is your friend.
Yes, he hit the nail, as usual.
There is only one problem, I didn't find the simple mathematical equation what can describe it.
Perhaps the best approximation is The Beer. 😉

Oh, the irony!
I just walked into a bank wearing sunglasses, a face mask, exam gloves, carrying a bottle of flammable liquid, and they smiled and welcomed me.
My eyes are concealed, most of my face is hidden and I won't be leaving any fingerprints when I use that liquid in any number of nefarious ways.
Something you might have been arrested for a few months back is now encouraged.
To say the world has changed is a bit of an understatement n'est-ce pas?

Banking here is drive-thru and, by appointment only, they'll unlock the front door and let you in if you state your appointment time.
I should have said, I stood outside in a line for about 20 minutes and was not allowed to be within 2 metres of anyone, instead of 'I walked into a bank'.
Another interesting book on fractals (without the pretty pictures though)
is "Geometry of Fractal Sets" by Ken Falconer.

Hehe. That reminds me of one Halloween in the mid 1970s when I walked into my bank to cash a check dressed in a long trench coat, wig and clown mask that covered half of my face. As I remember, I was the only customer in the bank and when I entered all of the tellers stopped what they were doing and looked up. One of them nervously welcomed me as I walked up to her station.
I realized how uncomfortable everyone was as I handed her my driver's license. I think she recognized my voice since I was a regular customer so I walked out with the cash and without having to take off my mask or talk to the authorities. 🙂
Perhaps we will see a 'Wanted poster' of WBS? ....😀

It has been extremely dry weather for the last few weeks.
Well, there is something good about everything bad, as they say.
My Quad ESL57s can produce much higher sound levels, without arcing.
