story with Citroen in US - few proper mechanics for maintenance of hydraulic based suspension
cars capable of 1M km in Europe , being abandoned in US after second service
though , proper service network is responsibility of importer ........ that's why is just one OPLDF in Europe ...... maybe sole one in entire world!

Guy walks up to an auto parts counter.
"Got a windshield wiper for a Yugo?"
Guy behind the counter thinks for a bit.
"Yeah, I guess that's a fair trade."

Look what I discovered , in my regular on-line rummage ........
I knew that he loves me , even if I'm in constant disgrace ......

I love Citroen. They have all sorts of beautiful solutions to non existing problems. Kind of a soulmate.
That's pretty cool. Also getting kinda hardcore when you start winding your own inductors. 🙂
I started hardcore
no more Bubba - better to pay for them and have more time for other things

Hi Soundhappy,
Thank you, that was a very useful link. I have only ever wound small RF coils before.

Quad ESL
As you probably know, I have two pairs of Quad ESL.
First pair I think quite O.K..
But second one is a nightmare.
It is entirely my fault, because I wasn't careful enough.
I believed what the seller said, they were refurbished by Mr. Ottó Popori, an electrostatic speaker expert in Hungary.
Yeah, that was the case for sure, but he was forget to say, he burned down the ESLs, after they were refurbished by Mr. Popori.
Well, this is sucks, what can I do?
I phoned Mr Popori, and told him the story.
He is a very generous person, and he promised me, he will refurbish the ESLs for me in warranty !!!
So I delivered these to him.
And, if I was there, he invited me for some music listening.
He not only repair ESLs and Martin Logans, but he even makes electrostatic speakers on his own experience.
I must have to say, I was very impressed with the sound I was heard.
Here you can find some pictures:
POPORI ELECTROSTATIC loudspeaker
Anyway, he is a pretty interesting person, he likes beers, which is an important property, as you know.
I'm very curious, of sounds of the refurbished ESLs.
I think, there will be an other pair to refurbish, if I will be satisfied.
P.s.:
In the last picture you can see someone's familiar face, you probably know him.

Gyuri.....
Being a fisherman I know when a salmon is firmly hooked by a well tied fly!!😀😀
When you collect the original pair of Quads from the real overhaul and have two pairs overhauled you will be asking questions about frames for another pair!!
Hope that all is good for you.
