I have a mig welder in my kitchen, and once I had a motorcycle in my livingroom. Never a boat tho. A friend of mine built his compressor fed drag-buggy in his livingroom tho.

He worked on the car by fitting twin wheels on the rear (for hill climb racing). He then drove the car out again, but forgot that it was now wider and demolished the door frame!
He eventually was sacked by Jaguar for jumping back in the car at the final driver change and winning the 24 hour race.
