My dog steals red bell peppers from the shopping bags, every single time I don't pay attention.
She drinks from an arty-farty water fountain in the living room, have to refill it by half a gallon a day, the mutt never touches her water bowl in the kitchen. (Irish, bunch of thieves and con artists)
Irish terrier.
(Heavyweight at 45-50lb, regular is ~25lb. Has a deeper bark than the neighbors' 150lb dane, the latter could have made Barry White blush)

My maternal grandparents had one...very well behaved and very biddable. Smart strutting walk and not at all noisy.
However, my favorite Irish dog is the Irish Water Spaniel - they have so much character and that character is the sort of joie de vivre that drives you and anyone else in the vicinity to total despair.
