Major work ahead:
Watching "Transformers 2" last night with the kids resulted in bad electronics smell from my 400A. Maybe the "soundtrack" is pure DC?
At first I thought a reservoir capacitor had went to the eternal hunting grounds, but it seems some power resistors were fried. Maybe the output stage as well.
Must look into it later....
So those V-FETs from the 70ties will be laying nicely on the shelf for some more time..

I watched that movie at home with the sound system up high. My stereo is still intact. Wouldn't DC be blocked by input caps?

after 3 years , AR2 is back in Serbia
I made pretty successful begging operation .... and he made a visit to Humble ZM today ... along with his precious , smarter and certainly prettier better Half

Really - it was very nice of Papa to personally send ZM cool stuff and for AR2 to pack it over there.
