I skippered a near shore research vessel for 17 years. I spotted lots of both kinds of whales. I have a great deal of respect for both. Container ships move a lot faster than they look like they are doing and they don't stop for small fry. Also had a couple of bull orcas decide they didn't want me in the area and they charged my boat. Even at 13 meters, I decided to move quickly.
In this particular case, there was also the option of sticking the woman in a fish.
Never had to run from one, thankfully. We were always careful to leave plenty of room. Now the Gray whales are another story.
What a fun world it remains, at times.

What a waste of time because there is a lot of effort involved with stealing bicycle seats (don't ask me how I know about that). You can do the same thing by sniffing seats in Pass Pub - except that we don't get any ladies in here and that only leaves ......... ummmmmm - scratch that idea.....😱😱😱
