The Pass Pub: The High-End Off Topic Thread

Why is 80% of the new (often hifi-blabla-180 gram etc) vinyl I buy crap quality? Cracks, plops, wavy, uncentered etc. Cheap Best Buy’s in the 70’ies and 80’ies was thin but it was quality controlled and 99 was decent. Has all the geezers at the press machines died and there’s a dopehead teenager at every machine nowadays?

I have it… in a bag. Trying to un-hurry the establishment of a new workbench in my hobby room. If I hurry I always regret it. But my Dyna 10x5 sounded amazing via an unfinished and unboxed Salas 43 dB FSP. Maybe I finish er-boxing that first.

Ot but for you Gyuri I am pleased to say that my son is making good progress back to life.

Do you greedy boys prefer the original rubber, cork, felt or acrylic on the platter? Been doing the cork now for a while and it does offer some more refined music than the original somewhat stiffened technics rubber original. Now I changed to the acrylic and…

Well I will tell after a few eloquent deejayings

It is nice to hear!
God, or something, keep him alive!
Just as your responsibility.
I failed this challenge. 🙁
The battle is still on. I, nor you can decide the faith of the young ones. One can only be there for them, as you were and I try to be. God knows I would not have wanted to be the father or mother to me in my worst years but they had to be and they were. I think we have to face that life is not an easy sail for neither of us. It’s not ment to be. Not for us.

Just ordered good batch, Roy O etc. Will report the state of the world as usual to you massa. Keep riding, keep us faithed!

In the meantime I’m listening to Ben Harper, Welcome to the cruel world. It’s a 1994 brave enough album, where you can hear the hope and wishes in the pretty rugged voice. Those hopes and wishes disappeared in a nanosecond just a while ago.

I am not a religious man, but if there ever was a religious man, like Jesus. Mohammed or Buddha, I bet that they had been more than disappointed.

Anyway, chin up. We are still here, aren’t we?
